Germany launches investigation into Azov militants’ stay in the country
The prosecutor’s office of Germany began an investigation in connection with the possible stay in the country of servicemen of the Ukrainian national battalion “Azov” (banned in Russia terrorist organization). This was reported by Brandenburg police.

The prosecutor’s office of Germany began an investigation in connection with the possible stay in the country of servicemen of the Ukrainian national battalion “Azov” (banned in Russia terrorist organization). This was reported by Brandenburg police.
Law enforcement officers initiated an investigation after the publication of the German publication Bild about the activities of Azov, where an interview was given with one of the representatives of the battalion. “An investigation has been initiated, which is being conducted under the authority of the prosecutor's office. In the interests of the investigation, additional information is currently not provided, the Brandenburg police responded to a request from RIA Novosti. In an interview with Bild, a representative of the 12th Azov Special Forces Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine named the purpose of the National Battalion’s stay in Germany. They want support from German citizens. Earlier, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in its Telegram channel reported on the sentencing in the form of serving a sentence in a strict regime colony for a period of 24 years to a serviceman of the Azov battalion detachment Maxim Melnikov.
