Heating season in military towns: how is the modernization of boiler houses in the Volgograd region

All equipment is configured and working normally. It cannot be otherwise at a military facility. Despite the respectable age of this boiler house, it was built in the fifties of the last century, the production and supply of heat here is uninterrupted. These are boilers for providing a military unit with heat and hot water. There's one boiler working right now. That's enough. If necessary, we can start the second. The third boiler is simply in reserve as spare equipment. In addition to three boilers that run on natural gas, there are six more modern pumps in the boiler room. One for the supply of heat, hot and cold water to all buildings of the military unit and related organizations of the Ministry of Defense. Each pump has a backup. “Before the heating season, a set of maintenance measures was carried out in full, which allows us to work in the heating season without accidents, without breakdowns. That is, we have both the main equipment and reserve equipment, says the head of the thermal economy Leonid the Great. Experienced specialists monitor the operation of the equipment around the clock. Tatiana Grafina has been working as an operator on this boiler house for more than 20 years. In recent years, work has become more convenient and easier. Everything you had to do manually is now automated. “We had old boilers before. In 2012, they changed to more modern ones. There used to be boilers where I had to manually add air, add gas, and now it all goes automatically. I included: there is an automatic purge of the boiler and automatic ignition. I only watch the parameters of the boiler, says the operator of the boiler house Tatiana Grafina. And there are dozens of such facilities in the Volgograd region. All of them help to provide military units and infrastructure facilities of the Ministry of Defense with warm and hot water. The equipment is checked twice a year. Spring and autumn. Specialists conduct a thorough audit of all equipment and, if necessary, change or repair faulty units. “Verification concerns both thermal equipment and water supply networks. Training was carried out at all heat generating facilities in the preparatory period. And I would like to note that within the framework of the import substitution program, all work was performed using materials, components and equipment of domestic production, says Dmitry Davydov, head of the planning and documentation department of the housing and communal services No. 11 of the FGBI "CZHKU" of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for South-Eastern Military District. Important work continues, which means that all facilities will be provided with the necessary utilities, according to STRK Volgograd-TRV.
