The gross regional product of the Tomsk region for the first time may exceed 1 trillion rubles (1,054.8 billion rubles). Growth is expected due to increased food production, wood processing, electronics, engineering, investment projects, construction and high consumer demand. “The budget of the Tomsk region shows steady growth. It is predicted that in 2025, tax and non-tax revenues of the regional budget will amount to about 90 billion rubles, with an increase in the region’s own revenues by 12 billion rubles. The effectiveness of regional tax preferences and state support measures is increasing, the report said. Tourism drives economic growth by creating additional jobs and supporting more than 50 related industries. Domestic tourism will continue to develop in 2025 thanks to the updated national project Tourism and Hospitality. Today, consumer market enterprises make up more than 27% of all economic entities in the region, every tenth of the occupied region works here. Taxes from consumer market enterprises in 2024 exceeded 12 billion rubles, said Mikhail Sergeychik. Earlier we told that in 2024 in the Tomsk region earned 30 new garment enterprises, and the production index grew by 15.3%. Also, food production increased by 4%, the total sales of which amounted to 63 billion rubles.
