In Krasnoyarsk, the eternal flame is once again burning in Victory Square.

Historical moment - the eternal flame returns to the square. The main heroes of the ceremony are veterans of the Great Patriotic War and participants of the Special Military Operation. The main symbol of memory in the square in front of the Memorial was lit 50 years ago. While the reconstruction was ongoing, the flame was maintained in a special capsule. During this time, the lamp traveled to all districts of the regional center. Mikhail Kotyukov, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory: "Today, defenders of the Fatherland from different generations are here. And veterans of the Great Patriotic War pass the baton to the young guys who have taken over Post No. 1. This connection of generations is the foundation of our historical memory." Igor Balabolenko, participant of the Special Military Operation: "The main principle of the victorious people is unshakable through the centuries - we cannot be defeated on the battlefield." This year, the Victory Memorial Museum celebrates its 50th anniversary. After the restoration, the eternal flame becomes the center of the square. Ruslan Sabirzhinov, ceremony participant, member of the "Post No. 1" movement: "At some point, it was even difficult to hold back tears from the role that was presented to me." The museum itself is still under renovation and will open on May 9th. The square has become more cozy, with a lot of new information. Full-fledged tours will start here in the spring. Polina Grits, participant: "We deliberately got up early in the morning, came here with the guys to be part of this event. We have already laid flowers and warmed up by the eternal flame. This is precious to us." The Krasnoyarsk Territory is preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory Day. During the war, every fourth of our fellow countrymen was called to defend the Fatherland.
