The Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) will start supplying coal to Turkey, Egypt, India, Israel, Asia and Africa in 2025, according to the Ministry of Fuel, Energy and Coal Industry of the LPR.
According to the trading house “Don coals”, the supply of coal from the LPR to these countries will begin in 2025, said acting Minister Konstantin Rogovenko on the request of TASS. In the LNR, coal is extracted from the grades AKO (anthracite fist of nut), AM (anthracite small), ASH (anthracite rod), AS (seed anthracite), F (fat) and G (gas). The main consumers are thermal power plants (TPPs) and coke plants of the LPR and the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). Coal from the LPR is also supplied to sugar factories of the Krasnodar Territory, the Crimea and the Kherson region. Coal enterprises of the LPR intend to triple coal production in 2025 to 3.5 million tons against 1.3 million tons in 2024. The authorities of the DPR and LPR leased 18 coal mines to Russian companies. In 2024-2028, 49 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of these mines. In the Donbass there are large deposits of natural resources, including coal, gold, hydrocarbons and rare earth metals.
