Volodin: it is important to provide social guarantees for participants of the SVR and their families

Parliamentarians will consider 26 bills aimed at supporting members of the SVO and their families. According to Volodin, eight projects have already been adopted in the first reading, and the rest will be considered as a priority. "One of the main priorities of the State Duma is the legislative support of the SVO participants, volunteers, their families," the chairman of the State Duma said. He added that there are already laws that provide a set of benefits for participants in the special operation. In total, since 2022, 124 legislative drafts have been adopted by deputies. In particular, we are talking about the initiative regarding the right of combatants in the military formations of the LPR and the DPR to receive two pensions at the same time. In addition, Volodin drew attention to the bill on additional leave for relatives of SVO participants undergoing treatment or rehabilitation, as well as on additional leave for police officers from among combat veterans. Also under consideration by the House of Parliament is a bill to exclude from the validity of the results of the USE periods of participation in the SVO and military service. Recall that by the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 2025 was declared the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. In the same year, the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory is celebrated. According to the head of the Communist party Gennady Zyuganov, more than a hundred countries agreed to take part in events dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory.
