📝 Summary
The only voting shareholder of Transneft, the Federal Agency for State Property Management (Rosimushchestvo), extended the powers of Nikolai Tokarev as president of the company until 2030.
This was reported in the press service of Transneft. The corresponding order was signed by Rosimushchestvo on March 4, 2025 on the basis of a directive of the Russian government. “Appoint Tokarev N. P. sole executive body – President of PJSC Transneft for a period of 5 years”, – follows from the document. Tokarev became the head of Transneft in November 2007. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2007, he served as General Director of the Russian Foreign Economic Association Zarubezhneft (since 2004, Zarubezhneft). Transneft is a Russian oil pipeline company that transports oil and oil products through the main pipeline system in the Russian Federation and beyond. It operates more than 68 thousand km of pipelines, more than 500 pumping stations and more than 24 million cubic meters of reservoir capacity. Transneft transports 83% of all oil produced in Russia. All 100% of the voting shares of the company are owned by the state.
