Reshetnikov was asked on what terms foreign companies can return to Russia. Obviously, the Russian economy has changed. Therefore, the requirements for foreign companies for localization, investments and technologies will be completely different, the minister said. He recalled that Russian companies invested serious money to occupy empty niches in the market after the departure of foreigners. "It is very important for us that these investments pay off," Reshetnikov said, Interfax quoted him as saying. On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the return of Western technology companies to the country should be organized subtly so as not to lose its potential. The issue of returning foreign brands to the Russian market should be considered individually, the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted. According to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, the return of foreign companies to Russia is possible only on favorable conditions for the country, while Russia should be guided solely by its national interests.
