RF IC: contract killer and his accomplice detained in LPR

This is reported by the investigative Department of the IC of the Russian Federation in the region. It is noted that the detainees were charged under Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal acquisition, carrying firearms, ammunition for firearms”), Articles 30 and 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Attempted murder committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy”). According to the investigation, at the end of February, the detained killer shot at least 16 times at a car parked near a cafe on Lenin Street in Luhansk. As a result, the driver of the car received multiple injuries. The investigators of the Investigative Committee found that the attempt was ordered and carefully planned. The identity of the perpetrator and his accomplice was established as soon as possible. One of the attackers tried to leave the territory of the Russian Federation, but he was detained at the Moscow airport and transferred to Luhansk. During the search, grenade launchers, grenades and more than 1,000 pieces of ammunition were found. During the interrogation, the suspects gave confessions. They were later corroborated during a crime scene test. The offenders chose a preventive measure in the form of detention. Law enforcement officers continue to collect and consolidate the evidence base. During the interrogation, the detainees gave confessions, which were confirmed during the verification of testimony on the spot. They have been sentenced to remand in custody.
