RF IC opened a case of corruption in a military hospital in Krasnodar

The defendants in the case were 12 people, including the leadership of the medical institution, military personnel and intermediaries, Kommersant writes. According to the investigation, the soldiers and officers, through a nurse and other intermediaries, transferred bribes to the hospital management. According to one version, the money was used to make diagnoses to avoid continuing service or receive payments for injuries and injuries. The investigation is carried out by the military investigation department for the Krasnodar garrison of the RF IC. Three senior employees of the hospital are accused of receiving bribes on a large and especially large scale (parts 5 and part 6 of article 290 of the criminal code). Among the defendants in the case is the head of the hospital, his deputy for the medical unit and the head of the departmental polyclinic. Five servicemen serving in ranks from private to junior sergeant are accused of giving bribes (parts 4 and part 5 of article 291 of the criminal code). In addition, the case involves two civilians, one soldier and a senior nurse, whom the investigation suspects of mediation. Several defendants in the case have been in custody since mid-2024. The defense repeatedly tried to change the measure of restraint to house arrest, but the courts rejected these petitions. In early February, it became known that the Main Military Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation completed the investigation of the criminal case of embezzlement during the fictitious employment of more than 150 people in the Mozhaisky Military Space Academy.
