The virus is transmitted through mosquito bites and poses a particular danger in countries of Southeast Asia, Africa, America and the Eastern Mediterranean. Despite the high risk of infection in Russia, experts emphasize that the spread of the disease in the country will not occur. To protect against infection, Rospotrebnadzor recommends: Use repellents (mosquito repellents); Install mosquito nets on windows and doors in premises; If symptoms appear, immediately consult a doctor; Inform doctors about visiting tropical countries and mosquito bites. The Tomsk region is constantly monitoring imported infectious diseases, especially during the active tourist season.
