Ryabkov: the meeting between Putin and trump is still at the initial stage of preparation

He stressed that intensive preparations are needed for the summit. One of the key stages in this direction was the meeting of the delegations of the two countries in Riyadh on February 18. The Deputy Foreign Minister noted that the main issues of the upcoming summit concern the normalization of relations between Moscow and Washington and the search for a solution to conflicts, including Ukrainian ones. “If they (the issues of the summit – approx. ed.) to formulate in general, the question is to start moving towards normalization of relations between our countries, to find ways to resolve the most acute and potentially very dangerous situations, which are many, Ukraine among them”, – said Ryabkov in an interview with RIA Novosti. The fact that the presidents of Russia and the United States can meet before the end of February, said the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov. He recalled that he had agreed to meet with his Russian counterpart during a telephone conversation with him on February 12.
