According to the investigation, on the night of 18-19 July 2003, the suspect, together with a person whose bodyguard he worked for, in the area of the krupzavod in Dalnerechensk during a quarrel beat the victim and shot him several times. After that, the man was placed in the trunk of the car and transported to the territory of the Bondar factory, where he was shot twice more. From the wounds received, the victim died. His body was hidden and his car burned. After that, the accused left the city and all this time hid in Barnaul. He was arrested in March of this year. His accomplice was killed in 2004 in Vladivostok. The man is in custody. A criminal case has been opened on murder committed by a group of persons. The Trifonovskie gang has been operating in Primorye since the early 1990s. It was headed by the head of the Federation where the Far Eastern Federal District Alexander Yasin. Members of the gang attacked entrepreneurs, engaged in extortion and murder. Currently, a criminal case against Yasin on banditry, murder and tax evasion in the amount of at least 181 million rubles is being considered in court. Gang member Igor Kovalchuk was previously sentenced to 14 years in prison in a strict regime colony for 7 murders.
