The situation in Belgrade escalated on Saturday night, when students and opposition activists staged a series of incidents. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, about 31,000 people gathered for the protest. In the Serbian capital, a driver in a passenger car drove into a crowd of protesters. Three protesters were injured. Vucic had earlier warned supporters that the opposition would attempt a “color revolution” on March 15. He expressed fears that if successful, the opposition would crack down on him and his supporters, and warned that any violence would be stopped by Serbian law enforcement.
