March 1, 2000 heroically killed in an unequal battle with gangs Pskov paratroopers. The 6th company of the 76th Guards Air Assault Division was ordered to take height in the Argun Gorge. Federal troops were supposed to stop the militants who intended to go to Dagestan and commit a series of terrorist attacks there. 84 paratroopers died in battle at altitude 776, showing unprecedented courage and heroism.
