In March 2022, Starbucks announced the suspension of its activities in Russia. According to the law, if the right holder does not use the trademark for three years, then any person can apply to the intellectual property court and cancel such a mark. The term of non-use of Starbucks trademarks came in 2025. On May 23, 2024, an application for registration was submitted to the department. The applicant is listed as Starbucks Corporation. Rospatent approved the application. Under this brand, the company plans to sell coffee, light snacks, chewing gum, waffles and other products in Russia. After the departure of the brand from Russia, rapper Timur Yunusov, known as Timati, and restaurateur Anton Pinsky bought the assets of the coffee shop, after which they released their own brand Stars Coffee.
