In 2024, the Hermitage Theatre turns sixty-five years old. It can be said that the Hermitage Theatre has its undisputed achievements. First of all, it was made by great people who are no longer with us – David Borovsky, Sergey Barkhin, Viktor Gvozditsky, Lyubov Polishchuk, Mikhail Zhvanetsky, Roman Kartsev and others. The building of the theater was once the first house of the Moscow Art Theater, with the famous premiere of “Tsar Fedor Ioannovich”, the first house of the Chamber Theater with the first performances of Tairov and Koonen “Pierretta’s Cover” and “Yellow Coat”, the Proletkult Theater with the first production of Sergei Eisenstein “Mexican”. Its first authors were Shklovsky, Kaverin, Yutkevich. The repertoire of the theater never repeated any other repertoire. After Harms there was Marquez, after him Tolstoy's "Living Corpse". And always the Hermitage Theatre tried to supplement its work with completely new pages.
