Google’s debt on penalties in Russia exceeded 21.5 billion rubles

According to the materials reviewed by TASS, seven executive proceedings were opened on the basis of documents from Tagansky and Presnensky districts of Moscow, as well as Roskomnadzor. The total amount of fines exceeds 21 billion rubles. Another 16 proceedings against the company are related to materials considered by the Moscow Arbitration Court. The amount claimed for them exceeds 324 million rubles. In addition, bailiffs require Google LLC to pay an executive fee of 220 thousand rubles. Executive proceedings against the American company were opened in 2022-2024 in accordance with judicial acts. On February 18, it became known that the amount of debt Google owes to Russian TV channels for failure to comply with court decisions to restore accounts on YouTube video hosting reached 2.8 duodecillion rubles (number with 39 zeros – approx. ed.). The amount of compensation required exceeds the total world wealth, which is estimated at 477 trillion dollars.
