📝 Summary

Thanks to “Culture”, library attendance increased by almost 40%. Many libraries in the area have been transformed. “Model libraries are centres of attraction; in the first year alone, attendance increased by 38 per cent. Readers like libraries that look modern and offer a variety of reading, communication and learning opportunities. Together with the regional department of digital development, model libraries also organize training in working with electronic services. Over a thousand people passed such training last year, said Natalia Kiselyova, Deputy Governor for Education, Youth Policy and Digital Development. From 2019 to 2024, 45 model libraries were created in the region as part of the national project “Culture”. In 2025, it is planned to open another 10 within the framework of the national project "Family". As part of the national project, four mobile cultural centers were purchased in Asinovsky, Pervomaysky, Kolpashevsky and Tomsk districts for concerts and film screenings on open street venues. From 2025, the repair of cultural houses, children’s art schools, museums and theaters in Tomsk and the regions of the region will continue.
