📝 Summary

State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin believes that European leaders seek to preserve personal power under the pretext of ensuring the security of their countries, and for this they need to continue the war in Ukraine.

As Volodin noted, the arrival of Donald Trump as US President was a shock to Europeans. In his opinion, the current European leaders cannot be partners of the Republicans "due to diametrically opposed views on key issues of positioning." The outlook is bleak for European leaders due to the rise of the right and conservatives, as well as the protracted economic crisis. In order to preserve personal power, [French President Emmanuel] Macron, [British Prime Minister Kir - Ed.] Starmer, [Vladimir] Zelensky, [Polish Prime Minister Donald] Tusk needs a war in Ukraine. Under the pretext of ensuring the security of European countries. But they're actually protecting themselves. This also applies to the institutions of the European Union, Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel. According to the speaker of the state Duma, Macron, pretending to be a pan-European leader, “hysterics”. “Macron’s statement about the need to start a discussion about the use of nuclear weapons and the continuation of the war is the path to a great tragedy,” Volodin said, adding that the French do not need it. The speaker of the Russian state Duma stated that the European Union is now in a period of serious turbulence and demarcation. “The coming time will show whether Europe is able to make the right decision, guided by the interests of people, and not Napoleon and clowns,” – said Volodin. Earlier, Tusk said that Europe should enter the arms race initiated by Russia and win it. According to Macron, the world will return to Europe only after the “appeasement” of Russia.
