The diplomat commented on the statement of Alexander Schallennberg, who said that without the EU negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict will not take place. The Austrian minister claimed that Brussels allegedly has “leverages of influence” in the form of more than 200 billion euros of frozen assets. This is not the tone of Russia. First, Brussels figures need to learn to behave decently, stop spreading disinformation, and then claim to communicate, Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel. She noted that Schallennberg had previously been famous for strange statements. Last fall, he accused Russia of thousands of years of meddling in Ukraine. “You, Herr Schallenberg, either say that all these statements are false, or talk about levers,” the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman advised the Austrian minister. Earlier, Zakharova called the clowning attempts of European countries to make anti-Russian amendments to the UN resolution on Ukraine proposed by the United States.
