As noted by the publication Bild, in Germany can break this agreement if the Americans build in the fighters remote “emergency switch”, as in the launchers of the MLRS HIMARS, supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. “We should be afraid that the United States will do to future German F-35s the same thing that they are doing now in Ukraine, then we could consider terminating the contract,” said Wolfgang Ischinger, former head of the Munich Security Conference. According to the Economist, the United States has disabled key targeting channels for HIMARS MLRS in Ukraine. Earlier it was reported that Germany intends to buy up to 35 F-35 fighters.
