In the Rostov region, law enforcement officers detained the former head of the Ust-Kutsk municipality of the Irkutsk region Alexander Dushin in connection with the review of the sentence in the case of abuse of office.
According to TASS in law enforcement agencies, the accused is being transferred to Irkutsk. It is known that the official received a bribe in the amount of one million rubles for turning a blind eye to the non-fulfillment of work in full by the contractor in the square in Ust-Kut. Also in April 2020, the defendant beat a subordinate. Dushin headed Ust-Kut since 2017. Three years later, a criminal case was opened against him. Four years later, the court sentenced the defendant to four years of probation. In 2025, he was changed to a suspended sentence of 10 years in a strict regime colony.
