The MP noted that because of this policy, many migrants entered Germany without documents. “The migration policy in Germany failed miserably in 2015, when Frau Merkel opened the borders and allowed the so-called refugees to go to the country without any check, which led, of course, to the collapse of the migration policy,” said Konstantin Savin. The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which took second place in the elections to the Bundestag, adheres to a tough stance on migration policy, advocating its toughening and deportation of migrants. In the early elections to the lower house of parliament, the Alternative for Germany scored 20.8%, second only to the conservative CDU / CSU bloc, for which 28.6% of voters voted. Konstantin Savin previously noted that if the AfD had won more votes, the party would have been able to create a special commission to check the government's activities.
