Former Deputy Governor of the Bryansk region Sergey Tymoshenko was arrested in the case of receiving a bribe in an especially large amount. This is reported by the joint press service of the courts of the region.
According to the investigation, from 2019 to 2021, Tymoshenko received rewards from businessmen for patronage in the implementation of state contracts in the field of construction and overhaul of facilities in the region. The total amount of bribes amounted to 4 million rubles. The accused is detained until May 13, 2025. The court order has not entered into legal force. Tymoshenko took a high-ranking post in November 2019. In the government, he oversaw the construction and road industries. He resigned in September 2021.
