In the state Duma offered to keep the military the opportunity to receive medical care for MHI

By law, the MHI policy ceases to operate in the case of conscription of a citizen for military service. After the conclusion of the contract, the serviceman is served by medical institutions of the Ministry of Defense, the authors of the bill explain. “The amendments proposed by the bill to the law On Compulsory Medical Insurance in Russia, excluding the provisions of the law on the suspension of the compulsory medical insurance policy in the case of conscription (receipt) for military service, will eliminate this injustice and improve the quality of life of servicemen,” the explanatory note to the bill notes. Sometimes there are situations when a serviceman cannot reach authorized medical organizations, or such organizations are absent at the place of stay of the serviceman. And then the soldier is forced to apply for paid medical care. This state of affairs is unacceptable, especially during the mobilization of all state resources to maintain an appropriate and decent level of support for military personnel, including those in the zone of the SVO, the authors of the bill conclude. Meanwhile, 43 new types of high-tech medical care are available from January 1 under the MHI program, including heart surgery and operations using robotics, said the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko. On November 30, 2024, President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the budget of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund for 2025-2027.
