It is specified that the gang operated from the beginning of 2024. One of its participants broke into the windows and doors of the premises at night, got inside and stole money from safes. The other two monitored the situation and helped carry out the abducted. They also opened some safes in the garage. “The suspects carefully prepared for crimes: they chose objects, studied the work schedule and security systems, several times came to the site for reconnaissance,” the ministry said. As a result of operational-search activities carried out with the support of Regardie, the attackers were detained. They seized a building tool used to penetrate the premises and open safes. Also, during searches at their place of residence and in the garage, part of the stolen money was found. “The circumstances of seven thefts from offices and shops located on the territory of Kaluga have already been established,” Kristina Afanasyeva, acting head of the JIOS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region, added. On the facts of criminal activity, criminal cases were initiated under Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft by a group of persons on preliminary conspiracy with illegal entry on a large scale”). Other episodes of illegal activities of detainees are established.
