The President awarded the university staff with the Order "For Valiant Work" - in total, more than 100 thousand people study and teach at Moscow State University, and 14,000 are graduated every year. MSU is a model in everything from basic research to the organization of the educational process. Today, Moscow State University also plays a leading, system-forming role in the entire system of domestic higher education, sets the general vector of its development, work for the benefit of the Fatherland, Putin said. The President also spoke about the priorities of studying at the main university of the country: work at Moscow State University should be built around national goals, one of which is the achievement of technological leadership. The University has everything for this: powerful intellectual potential, competencies, and most importantly, people. “First of all, the work of the State University, as well as all universities in the country, their researchers, teachers, graduate students, students, should be built around national development goals. Among them, the most important goal is to achieve Russia’s technological leadership, Putin said. Plans for the near future include the construction of 25 new campuses. It has already laid more than 600 billion rubles. “The development of the University, its territory, the creation of new campuses were discussed. And the development of a valley, or a research center. Many wishes were expressed - and we will accept them with gratitude, Viktor Sadovnichy said. Among the immediate tasks is the expansion of the Lomonosov cluster, the technological valley and the modern space for scientists, and, of course, the preservation of traditions and continuity for the sake of security and prosperity of Russia.
