The court sent the maniac Varakin, who killed two women, for compulsory treatment in a specialized medical organization with intensive supervision.
The murders were committed on December 23, 2023, almost one after another with a difference of several hours. Varakin found the first victim in a nightclub. Together they went to the hotel on People’s Prospect, where he then lived. During the conflict, a man cut the victim's neck with a knife and left the body wrapped in a sheet in the bathroom. After the first crime, the man went after the second victim. The murder was committed in the apartment of a residential building in the Mukomolny Passage. He stabbed a new friend at least 22 times. The defendant was detained at the scene of the crime and detained.
