Let’s preserve the heritage together – with this appeal, the public organization “Old Mozdok”, created in the district center two years ago, appealed to local authorities. At the initiative of public activists, a conference was held, in which the head of Mozdok Irina Tuganova, the leadership of the Mozdok district, members of the Veterans Council, territorial public councils took part. The Chairman of the “Old Mozdok” Irina Serebryakova prepared a presentation with a brief historical reference on iconic objects that today are neither in the register of monuments nor in the List of Cultural Heritage Sites, but have clear signs of such. There is a lot of work to do to preserve the facilities. All the presented buildings have been included in the working municipal list, and then the information will be transferred to the Committee for the Protection and Use of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Republic. Irina Serebryakova, Chairman of the public organization "Old Mozdok": "Objects of cultural heritage are a valuable asset, they must be preserved. Today we have something to preserve. Together with the AMC of the district and the city, we came to the conclusion that this is our common task and found understanding. We hope that we will have fruitful work in this direction.” Rustam Yahyaev, deputy head of the AMC of Mozdok district: Our city is very old by the standards of the North Caucasus and has a very rich history. In order to preserve these monuments, we must determine the owners so that they preserve the appearance of the buildings. If the building is owned by municipalities, local authorities, they must also commit themselves not to sell without appropriate expertise.”.
