The Republican House of Friendship of Peoples hosted a meeting of young people with writers of the North Caucasus. The event was timed to coincide with the International Mother Language Day. A relatively young holiday was established in 1999. According to the organizers, the main goal is to promote linguistic and cultural diversity. The event was attended by writers, creative intelligentsia from neighboring republics, representatives of authorities and public organizations of North Ossetia, youth. The educational program discusses the uniqueness of the languages of the peoples of the Caucasus. Writers have shared their work in this direction. The organizers also prepared a stand with thematic books. Tamara Kaitukova, Advisor to the Minister of National Policy and External Relations of RSO-A: “How many peoples, so many languages. And so many languages, so many customs, so many traditions, so many good things around us. On behalf of the Ministry of Nationalities Affairs, the Republican House of Friendship of Peoples, the Public Council of the city, we congratulate the residents of our republic, guests of our republic on this wonderful holiday.
