In the city of Engels, Saratov region, a criminal case was opened against a local resident who beat a veteran of the SVO.
It is preliminary established that on February 20, the suspect attacked a combatant and inflicted multiple blows on him during commemorative events in one of the city educational institutions. Staff and students were present. The victim was hospitalized with injuries. The case against the 47-year-old resident of Engels was initiated under the article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on public actions aimed at discrediting the provision of assistance by persons in the performance of tasks assigned to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which caused harm to the health of citizens. The report on the investigation of the circumstances of the attack on the SVO veteran was requested by the Chairman of the IC of Russia Alexander Bastrykin, according to the Telegram channel of the SU IC of Russia in the Saratov region.
