Earlier, a law was adopted according to which from March 1, 2025, alcoholic beverages were allowed to be purchased at catering points at certain hours - from 10 to 23 hours. These restrictions did not apply to restaurants located in residential buildings. Now in the category of exceptions from March 1, there were also residential buildings located in the urban tourist zone. “Given the increased tourist flow, there is a need to create comfortable conditions for tourists, especially in places with tourist potential, in order to create a favorable and positive image of the region,” the Ministry of the Arctic and the development of the region’s economy told RIA Novosti. According to Svetlana Panfilova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region, the central streets of the city will not be subject to a restriction of time for the sale of alcoholic beverages in cafes and bars located in apartment buildings and adjacent territories.
