“The victory in the elections, held in conditions of free popular will, confirmed the support of the Abkhaz citizens of your policy to ensure internal political stability and progressive socio-economic development of the country,” the telegram reads. The second round of presidential elections took place on March 1. Badra Gunba received 54.73% of the vote, Adgur Ardzinba – 41.54%. Voter turnout was 70%.
