They inflate the actual size of the army," Gavrish said. Earlier, the TASS news agency calculated the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the special military operation based on the daily and weekly summaries of the Russian Ministry of Defense. According to the calculations, in 2022 Ukraine lost 118.5 thousand military personnel, in 2023 - 405.4 thousand, in 2024 - over 595 thousand killed and wounded, and since the beginning of 2025 - 80 thousand fighters.
