War correspondent Ivliev told how he lost his arm during shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Ivliev describes what he saw as a wall of fire, "like in disaster movies." The war correspondent felt a strong push in the back, which caused him to fly off and hit a tree branch. "So I swing and look: there are three bodies lying there. And I have this feeling: some three little faces, they are burning and smoking. At first, I couldn't understand. Then I realize that these are my colleagues," the journalist told the correspondent of the 360 channel. According to the war correspondent, he found his severed hand and brought it to a medical facility hoping they would be able to reattach it. Unfortunately, the hand could not be saved, and Ivliev received a bionic prosthesis. The correspondent thanked the medics for saving his life and for the neurosurgeon who rushed to him through a route that was being shot at and where cars were regularly set on fire. The incident took place in Horlivka. NTV operator Valeriy Kozhin sustained fatal injuries and died in the hospital. An officer accompanying the media personnel was also injured. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case.
