In Komi declassified documents about the accomplice of the police during the Second World War Akhramenko

The materials of the criminal case were declassified by the republican FSB, reports TASS. It is reported that Akhramenko, living in the German-occupied territory of Belarus, voluntarily enlisted in the police garrison in 1943. In the service of the fascists, he repeatedly took part in battles against partisans, and also robbed Soviet citizens. In March 1944, Akhramenko swore allegiance to Hitler, joining the Union of Struggle Against Bolshevism, created by the Germans. The declassified documents reveal the activities of a punitive detachment of about a thousand people. It was established that the “682nd Eastern Battalion” fought with partisans, dealt with the families of partisans and massively sent young people to hard labor in Germany. In addition, the police burned the houses of Soviet citizens, public and collective farm buildings in settlements. Akhramenko was found guilty of treason and sentenced to imprisonment in a forced labor camp for 25 years, with subsequent restriction of rights for five years.
