German sportswear manufacturer Adidas at the end of last year sold the last pair of sneakers brand Yeezy, which were produced in collaboration with American rapper Kanye West. This was reported by Reuters, citing data from the company itself.
It is noted that in this way Adidas fully sold all the goods that remained after the break in 2022 of cooperation with the rapper because of his anti-Semitic statements. “There is not a single pair of Yeezy sneakers left, they are all sold,” Chief Financial Officer Harm Olmeyer told a news conference. In the wake of the shutdown, sales of the sportswear company in the United States and Canada, where the Yeezy brand was particularly popular, fell 2 percent last year. However, in 2024, Adidas sold Yeezy sneakers for 650 million euros, which brought the company about 200 million net profit. A year earlier, revenue from the sale of shoes amounted to 750 million euros, net profit - 300 million. Of these funds, the brand has allocated 260 million euros for donations, including to charities that fight anti-Semitism.
