The European Union has put forward its own proposals to the Ukrainian authorities regarding mineral resources. This is reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP) with reference to a statement by the EU Commissioner for Industrial Strategy, Thierry Breton.
According to Sezhurne, European countries offer Kiev a mutually beneficial partnership. "21 out of 30 essential materials needed by Europe can be provided by Ukraine within the framework of a mutually beneficial partnership," noted the EU Commissioner. Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that the US intends to recover its money that went to support Ukraine. This amounts to $500 billion. Ukraine can repay the debts with rare earth metals, oil, and other valuable minerals, Trump noted. As reported by "Roscongress," Ukraine has deposits of valuable minerals, however, the value of these resources is significantly lower than $500 billion.
