The final decision to hold the traditional in-person procession of the all-Russian public civil-patriotic movement “Immortal Regiment” will be taken by the executive authorities closer to the holiday, said co-chairman of the central headquarters of the movement, executive secretary of the “Search Movement of Russia”, State Duma deputy Elena Tsunaeva.

According to the parliamentarian, after the refusal of the in-person procession during the coronavirus pandemic, many new formats for the Immortal Regiment appeared. For example, the “Memory Wall” with portraits of heroes, the “Immortal Motor Regiment”, as well as the placement of portraits on various modes of transport. The Immortal Regiment of Russia is preparing to hold all the formats that our citizens loved so much. The final decision on holding the procession will be taken by the executive authorities, Tsunaeva said. The Immortal Regiment of Russia is a nationwide movement that arose on the initiative of citizens. Processions are regularly held in Russian cities, as well as near and far abroad countries on Victory Day. The first event in a modern format took place in Tomsk in 2012. Earlier, in December, it was reported that the Immortal Regiment in 2025 will be held together with the procession “Belarus remembers”.
