This was discussed at the weekly meeting of the government commission to coordinate work on emergency response, which was held by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev. 744 tons of metal were handed over for processing, and the territory where the stern part of the tanker was being scrapped has already begun to be cleaned. In addition, work continues to collect fuel oil from the bottom of the Black Sea, including using portable high-performance motor pumps with ejectors on rescue boats. This technology is recognized as effective and has proven itself on the positive side. The grouping of such vessels will be increased to six units. The Commission considered the main options for the disposal of fuel oil from the sunken fragments of the tankers Volgoneft-239 and Volgoneft-212. The Ministry of Transport of Russia has identified one option of work, which is now undergoing the necessary approvals in the federal authorities. We also discussed the weather in the Krasnodar region. It gets warmer, the fuel oil starts to behave differently. It gets softer and spreads. This is already ready for those involved in cleaning the beach areas. Separately, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the contribution of divers to the elimination of emergencies. He called their work in difficult conditions a heroic act. Today, 83 divers continue to collect fuel oil in the sea.
