📝 Summary
The stern of the tanker was completely removed from the water and cut into large fragments. Only scrap metal was left of the ship. This was reported in the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory.
The fragments of the vessel will be divided into smaller parts and taken for melting to a metallurgical plant in Abinsk. Rebar is made from scrap. Then the area will be cleared of traces of petroleum products. The top layer of soil will be taken to the landfill, where the soil will be separated from fuel oil. As previously reported “Vesti Sochi”, the tanker “Volgoneft-239” crashed in the Kerch Strait on December 15, 2024. The stern of the ship ran aground near Cape Panagia.
