Police clashes with anti-fascists in central Berlin

Several hundred far-right activists gathered in the center of the German capital for a march against anti-fascists. “Left” then staged their protest, reports RIA Novosti. At first, both demonstrations were peaceful. Soon, however, anti-fascists began to obstruct the far-right march, leading to clashes with police officers. Law enforcement officers were forced to use tear gas, the clashes stopped. At least three protesters were injured. Early parliamentary elections will be held in Germany this Sunday amid the economic and government crisis. The current head of government Olaf Scholz is a candidate for chancellor from the Social Democratic Party of Germany and the main rival of the candidate from the CDU / CSU Friedrich Merz.
