Work on the liquidation of the aft part of the tanker Volgoneft-239 in the Temryuksky district of the Krasnodar Territory was completed two weeks ahead of schedule. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev.
Completed dismantling of the stern of the tanker, stranded in the Kuban. Before the start of the process, almost one and a half thousand tons of fuel oil were pumped out of the tanker’s internal tanks, as well as the containers were cleaned so as not to pollute the Black Sea. Along the coast, a temporary road was built, along which fuel oil and metal were exported. Disassembly of the stern part of the Volgoneft-239 tanker has been completed early, 774 tons have been disposed of, and in fact now we will start cleaning up the territory. We will make a decision on how to proceed with the collapse site at our next meeting, but in general, the work on the utilization of the metal structure was completed almost two weeks ahead of schedule, Saveliev said. Now the last fragments of the tanker are sent for melting down, and the beach is planned to return to its original state.
