Scientific and creative centers for the study of Russian-Chinese musical relations

Over the past three months, scientific and creative centers have been opened in Moscow and Shanghai to study Russian-Chinese musical ties. Soon, such a space will start working in Beijing. The main directions of the work of the new centers were told to journalists at a press conference. The initiative is aimed at developing musical ties in the Cross Years of Culture of Russia and China. The opening of the center in Moscow was made possible thanks to the participation of the Gnessin Academy of Music in the Priority 2030 program. The main tasks of scientific and creative centers will be the study of educational models of Russia and China. The plans include the development of joint publishing activities, creative events and concerts that will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. “We really remember the role of China and our country in the victory over fascism and militarism.On May 16, we will also unite the efforts of Russian and Chinese musicians in a large joint concert,” said Alexander Ryzhinsky, rector of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. We see our centers as unifying structures for the whole of Russia. We plan to create a single Internet space where musicologists and theater critics will be able to communicate, exchange information, learn and support each other, said the head of the Scientific and Creative Center for the Study of Russian-Chinese Musical Relations, composer Zo Zhen-Guan.
