The Church of Nikita Martyr entered the register of cultural heritage sites of local importance
The Church of Nikita Martyr was included in the register of cultural heritage sites of local importance. This was reported in the regional government. The temple was built in 1900 with the support of the church elder, Yaroslavl merchant Konstantin Belozerov. The decoration of the facades was performed in the Russian style. Historically, a temple complex was located at the intersection of Victory and Saltykov-Shchedrin streets. It included a priest’s house with outbuildings, a bell tower, the churches of Nikita Martyr and Michael the Archangel. The last one has not reached our days. And in the temple of Nikita Martyr in 1929, a club of the trade union of chemists was opened, then - bakery No. 2. In 1997, church services resumed. The inclusion of the temple in the register of monuments, according to the authorities, will protect it from destruction.
