The Dorogomilovsky court of Moscow sentenced the former head of the department of the highest qualification commission of Rosaviation Maxim Pavlyuk to eight years in prison in a strict regime colony. This was stated in the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
Pavlyuk was found guilty of organizing a criminal community and receiving bribes, the sentence has not yet entered into legal force. “The court has established that he created and directed a criminal community. It consisted of four participants, each of whom was assigned a role in committing crimes, the ministry said. Earlier it was reported that Pavlyuk and two of his accomplices were detained in 2022. Criminals extorted bribes from pilots between 2021 and 2022. Employees of Rosaviatsiya in exchange for money promised to turn a blind eye to the revealed violations and correct shortcomings in the documents of the pilots. According to the investigation, a total of 11 such crimes were committed. The total amount of bribes amounted to about 10 million rubles.
