On February 24, the United States will present a resolution on the Ukrainian conflict at the UN

Earlier, RIA Novosti, citing a document submitted by the United States, wrote that Washington would propose a three-point draft settlement in Ukraine. The document expresses grief for the victims of the conflict, calls for an early cessation of fighting and supports “lasting peace”. The draft resolution does not blame Russia for the start of the conflict and does not require the withdrawal of troops. “On Monday, the United States will propose to the United Nations a landmark resolution that must be supported by all UN members to chart a path to peace,” Rubio wrote on X. Russia has already amended the U.S. draft resolution, which adds the words “including by addressing its root causes” to the phrase “calls for an early end to the conflict.” For the first time since 2022, the United States refused to co-sponsor an anti-Russian resolution of the UN General Assembly. The US Secretary of State said that the end of the conflict in Ukraine will give Russia and the United States opportunities to establish partnerships between the countries.
