The commanders of the Northern Fleet are improving the tactics of using missile and artillery weapons.

The annual training gathering of commanders of units, formations, ships, and submarines for missile and artillery training has started in the Northern Fleet. As reported by the Murmansk State Television and Radio Company (GTRK "Murmansk") in the press service of the Northern Fleet, it is being conducted under the leadership of Vice Admiral Konstantin Kabantsov, the Commander of the Northern Fleet. The goal of the gathering is to enhance the level of training of the command staff of units and formations, ship commanders in organizing the training of combat crews on the use of missile and artillery weapons, taking into account the experience of conducting special military operations. "During the event, an analysis of the operation and use of missile and artillery weapons of surface ships, submarines in 2024 will be conducted, tasks for missile and artillery training in 2025 will be set," the fleet's press service noted. Participants of the gathering will study the specifics of preparing the crews of nuclear submarines for missile launches from high-latitude areas of the Arctic Ocean and the operation, use of missile and artillery weapons during combat exercises on frigates of the Northern Fleet of project 22350. They will also assess the theoretical knowledge of the personnel of ship crews, combat crews of anti-aircraft missile systems, and artillery installations. In addition, they will evaluate the practical skills of the crews of surface ships and coastal missile complexes in the use of precision-guided missile weapons. Representatives of defense industry enterprises and scientific institutions of Russia's military-industrial complex are also participating in the gathering.
