Ex-mayor of Dagestan Izberbash extended arrest in case of bribe
The Soviet district court of Makhachkala extended until March 30 the arrest of the former mayor of Dagestan Izberbash Magomed Isakov, who is accused of receiving a bribe in the amount of 3.9 million rubles, the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the republic reported.

📝 Summary
The Soviet district court of Makhachkala extended until March 30 the arrest of the former mayor of Dagestan Izberbash Magomed Isakov, who is accused of receiving a bribe in the amount of 3.9 million rubles, the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the republic reported.
Isakov was detained in October 2024. At the end of December, the arrest was extended until February 27. “The court <...> extended the measure of restraint in the form of detention against Isakov until March 30, 2025,” the press service said. According to investigators, in 2019, the official received a bribe from the developer, whom he did not interfere in the construction of an apartment building on a plot within the city. In the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the North Caucasus Federal District, it was specified that the bribe, in which Isakov is accused, consisted of two parts. The developer gave him 1.5 million rubles in monetary terms and a car worth 2.4 million rubles.
